11/19/2007 - This hotel was perfectly adequate for our needs. The rooms were somewhat small, and the showers were terrible because of low water pressure. I don't know if this had anything to do with the drought conditions being experienced in Southern Pines at the time of our stay. Set just north of Pinehurst on Highway 1, the Best Western Pinehurst Inn is in an absolute perfect location for golf in the Sandhills. You'll be close to all the best area courses — Talamore, The Pit, Foxfire, etc. — as well as some terrific restaurants such as Ragazzi's, Shuckers, and Sagebrush. The hotel features 125 rooms each equipped with coffeemaker, high-speed Internet access, and pay-per-view movie channels. Be sure to fuel up at the hotel's free continental breakfast bar before golf each morning. Whether you check in for a week or a weekend, you'll love a stay in Southern Pines.
