| 04/24/2007 - From the time we pulled into the parking lot everything about the two courses said, Top Notch. Would love to have played these two courses all five days. Fairways excellent, greens fast, sand trap beautiful worth the price of the trip. Recommend The Flamingo or The Mustang to anyone travelling to the Naples Fl area. Will recommend tro our group that we include this on our yearly rotation. One thing that I was disappointd in, was, I didn't get a chance to see a alligator!!!! The original course at Lely, Flamingo Island, is a spectacular design by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. It has twice been called "America's Best" by Golfweek and has received the prestigious four-star award from Golf Digest. As the name implies, you'll have to avoid water hazards as you make your way around this beautiful layout. It's typical Trent Jones with large, well-shaped greens and extensively sculpted fairways. Lely is located just 10 minutes south of Naples.
