About Orange Co. National - Crooked Cat (Winter Garden, FL)
Crooked Cat is a phenomenal complement to its highly acclaimed sister course, Panther Lake. Both courses host to the 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2010 PGA TOUR Qualifying School Finals, having been awarded 4.5 stars by Golf Digest's "Places to Play" every year since 1999. That's no easy accomplishment as there are only 52 courses in Florida with an equal rating, and no course in the state has earned five stars. With an entourage now of newly planted trees, wide-terraced fairways, and native redtop heather grass in the rough, this 7500-yard course is meticulously groomed and features a distinct Scottish "links" flavor - and NO HOMES! Elevation changes amongst rolling terrain are prevalent while wildlife abounts in this natural setting. "Grip it and rip it" ~ golf at its very best!

A frost delay in the morning pushed our tee time on the Cat (we played Panther Lake first) to after 2 PM with sunset at 6 PM and lots of folks on the course all day. We still finished and they kept the kitchen open through the football game, too! Over 15 hours at this facility and a great experience from start to end.

The pro-shop was better than a three, but the lunch room and the food were only average, but the lunch service was excellent. The greens were a bit on the slow side since they were being preped for the qualifying school. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful!!

A great course in great condition (Oct 2010). Panther Lake was closed, so that increased some of the traffic on Crooked Cat, but still went smoothly. An annual favorite for our group for good reason.
