About Ocean Ridge - Tiger's Eye Golf Links (Sunset Beach, NC)
North Carolina is synonymous with excellent golf, and Tim Cate's 18-hole creation at Tiger's Eye has only added to that long-standing reputation. Carved from a virgin forest, the layout features 60-foot elevation changes, an island par-three, a waterfall, and elaborate landscaping. It's a brilliant design with multiple tees, undulating Bermuda grass fairways, and slick G-2 bent-grass putting surfaces. Tiger's Eye received 4 1/2 stars in the 2006 edition of Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play."

Loved the course. we had a great time playing it and it was in great shape. However, on our replay we decided to play Leopard's Chase which we found not to be in the best shape which was a big disappoinment. The fairways were incredibly hard as were the greens. We expected something better than what we got. Tiger's Eye being a less expensive course turned out to be a much better value.
